Gabrielle Grode, MPH
Confident and connected parenting. Perfection not required.
Parenting is one of the hardest, most important jobs we have. Yet, we receive no training! We grapple with how to best support our kids and find more joy in parenting. How to shed unhelpful patterns and get through challenging stages. How to address issues like tantrums, discipline, sleep, sibling dynamics, and screens. And how to take care of ourselves while taking care of so many other things.
Parent coaching bridges the gap between where you are and where you want to be. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can reach your goals, resolve challenges, and become more intentional in your parenting. Parent coaching with me allows parents to bring more confidence, connection, and calm to their parenting.
What you can expect:
- A collaborative, coaching relationship that meets you where you are
- Empathy and understanding
- Improved communication and connection
- Strategies unique to your family
- To be respected as the expert on your kids
- A strengths-based, empowering approach
- A spirit of experimentation—perfection not required
About me
I’m passionate about supporting families. I always knew I wanted to be a helper. At Tufts and Temple Universities, I studied psychology, child development, and public health. For nearly twenty years I’ve worked as a public health researcher, honing my skills in active listening and the art of honoring other people’s stories. I earned my Parent Coach Certification® through the Parent Coaching Institute, which is a one-year, graduate-level coaching program developed with Seattle Pacific University.
I’m also an imperfect mom to three unique kids, ages seven to thirteen. Morning coffee, nature walks, and impromptu kitchen dance parties are my current delights. And I know what it’s like to be in your shoes. A few years back, I was struggling like so many parents do. Working with a parent coach transformed my relationship with my child. I believe in this process.
You don’t have to figure it out alone!
We hear a lot about the “village” it takes to raise children. But, we our largely on our own. Parent coaching changes the alone. I help provide the support the village was meant to offer so you can reach your potential.
I already know you are a good parent. You care enough about your family to want things to be different. You’re here, considering parent coaching to do just that.
I can’t wait to meet you.
