Here’s the truth: I am already interested in you and your family.
I became a parent coach because it’s hard to be a parent now! Expectations are high, demands continually change, and there is constant access to new advice telling you how your family “should” be. As your parent coach, I make things easier by being your filter. It is my daily practice to sift through research in child and adolescent development, media and parenting—and I’ll do it with you in mind.
Luckily, the definition of family keeps expanding. I’m here for all permutations of love and mutual interdependence. I work with families that are blended, divorced, queer, cross-cultural, cross-continental. I have a particular passion for supporting artists, creatives, and non-traditional families.
About me
I’ve spent decades working with children and families as an educator, researcher, kids media consultant, board member, and parent.
I’m deeply engaged in the ways culture impacts human development, and have always known that I wanted to work with and for kids. I have a BA in American Studies and Theatre from Smith College and an MS in Elementary Education from Hunter College, earned during stints teaching at an elementary school for children with learning disabilities in Brooklyn and as an educational content developer at Sesame Workshop.
How we’ll work together
In our hour-long online sessions, I help you clarify your core values, recognize your inner wisdom, and identify tools to address your challenges. We do this by harnessing the strengths within yourself and your family. We try things out and adjust. The end goal, always, is for you to live a more connected, manageable family life.
As a PCI Certified Parent Coach®, I respond to your unique needs as a parent, always in the context of your family’s living system.
