You want what is best for your kids. But sometimes it’s hard to know what that looks like, or how to get there. You want to enjoy parenting, reduce the friction in your home, and prepare your children for the future. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and under-skilled. I will support you to feel better equipped to respond to these challenges and experience greater fulfillment in your parenting.
Whether I am working with an individual or a couple, we first talk about what’s feeling hard right now. I have never met a parent who doesn’t have something to say when I ask about the challenges they are navigating.
Next, we talk about the strengths already present in you, your child or children, and your family as a whole. We discover the resources within you and around you.
After that, we create a vision of your preferred future—often one of greater ease and contentment. With a solid understanding of the strengths you possess and a clear vision of the direction in which we are moving, together we craft small, doable steps toward that preferred future.
Each step along the way, you will have a down-to-earth, compassionate, results-oriented guide to get you from where you are to where you want to be. As we work together, you will feel more connected to what’s good in your family, what you value about your children, and what you do well as a parent. By the end of a coaching series, you will feel a greater sense of competence and confidence navigating the road ahead.
With many years of experience working with youth and families in schools, mentoring programs, and summer camps, I have a grounded appreciation for the challenges (and joys) of parenting, and challenges (and joys) of being a young person in today’s world. I help parents foster an understanding and appreciation for what their children are navigating, and how to best support them.
I have many treasured identities. I am a social worker, a coach, a facilitator, a collaborator, and an artist. But the role I treasure most is that of mom to two teenage girls. They are my life’s greatest gifts and greatest teachers. The path has not always been easy. There have been many moments of frustration, self-doubt, and uncertainty. I have had the great benefit of wise guides along the path of my parenting journey. These guides have helped me understand my children, tap into my own strengths, and find a way to move forward with love. I look forward to partnering with you, to being one of your wise guides as you work to bring more confidence and ease to your parenting journey.
As I work remotely, I am honored to support parents around the country.
