Being a parent is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done—maybe you can relate? But I love it. My hope is to help you fall in love again too.

I’m all about guiding families from surviving to truly thriving. With over twenty years immersed in child development and dual Masters degrees in Human Development/Early Childhood Education and Social Work, I’ve enjoyed supporting children and families in a multitude of ways—early childhood educator, instructional coach, and stay-at-home-mom.

My Superpower?

Helping families turn chaos into calm and savor those magical moments of connection and wonder.

My Story

Fascinated by the brilliance of children and informed by neuroscience, I enjoy helping children and families reach their full potential. As an early childhood educator, one of the things I loved best was forming partnerships with parents to ensure a healthy, learning-rich, magical, and playful experience for children. My passion for partnering with parents has evolved into parent coaching full-time with a focus on supporting parents through the wonderful and equally challenging journey of parenthood.

I’ve got two of my own amazing, ridiculously smart, neurodiverse, handy, stage-building, robot obsessed, gender spicy kids—who make life challenging and fun. It has been both a joy and a real nail biter watching them grow. The teen years have definitely thrown me for a loop! But I’m grateful for the journey, and happy to share my experience, struggles, joy and wisdom right alongside you.

I’m Here for You! During our time together, you can expect the following:

  • Compassionate listening that reflects your strengths
  • Clarity on your goals for your family
  • Alignment of your parenting strategies with your core values
  • A focus on finding the light and joy in your family

  • Creativity to overcome any parenting challenge

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

There isn’t enough time or space to tell you everything that I appreciated about Mel. She is warm, kind, and so incredibly thoughtful in her coaching approach and practice. I was immediately at ease and felt like each session was a gift that I so desperately needed. Mel has this ability to support me as I live my way through the questions/issues and into the answers/solutions. She is an incredible guide.

Every parent should have the opportunity to meet with Mel, she is exactly what you need to help navigate the sometimes rough waters of parenting. It was the very best act of self care I have given myself, better than any massage or pedicure!”

Melani is a very special person and an extremely knowledgeable parent coach. She listens intently and works with you, as a team, to come up with new strategies specific to your family for each challenge that may arise. Melani’s suggestions are realistic and easy to implement in daily life. I thought I had tried everything, but after working with Melani, I can truly say that things run more smoothly and our family is happier as a whole. The outcome of our time together exceeded my expectations! I am so grateful to have worked with Melani.
