Hello, my name is Mary. I am a wife, mother of twin boys, a retired school teacher, and a newly PCI Certified Parent Coach® who is extremely excited about using my knowledge and expertise to help you navigate the rewarding-yet-difficult job of parenting. My work as a certified parent coach is empowering and rewarding.

As a retired elementary school teacher with 25 years of experience working with children and families, I recognize the stress of parents and relate to their feelings of being overwhelmed. For many years I felt like a "single parent" raising our twin boys. My husband's work took him away 3–4 days a week, leaving me alone and miles away from supportive family members and feeling like I had to “do it all.” Those same frustrations, traumas, doubts, and stresses are compounded today in the fast-paced chaotic world we live in.

I am here to assist you in your parenting challenges I am at my best when I work collaboratively with parents seeking to support their children to reach their highest potential. As your coach, I will work with you to hone in on and highlight strengths of family members and help you envision how to use these assets when confronting challenges. I will share my stories and listen to yours with compassion, I will ask reflective questions which help identify your core values and personal strengths. I will guide you in determining and envisioning your dream for your family. Together we will create practical action steps that inspire transformational change. I look forward to connecting with you to help renew your confidence and spirit and rediscover the joy in parenting.

What Parents Say After Coaching With Me

Working with Mary was a blessing! She gently guided me by asking questions and was always empowering and lifting my children and me up. The encouragement to firmly identify and state our family values has been incredibly beneficial. They have brought clarity when making decisions with and for my family. Focusing on the strengths of my children and what I hope to encourage for them in their futures has also aided me in making decisions in certain situations with them. Mary helped me to learn about myself and my parenting style, allowing me to appreciate my strengths and bring awareness to my challenges. I am so grateful for her kind support and our time together and the benefits it has yielded for our family!

Mary asked all the right questions to facilitate my reflection on our family dynamics, routines, strengths, and challenges. She helped me identify so many strengths to call on when trying to determine the best approach to challenges as they arise. She helped me recognize all the things I am doing right and helped me realize how ready my son was for taking on more responsibility for the decisions in his day-to-day life. This has helped our relationship in so many ways—he feels more confident, and the power struggles are a thing of the past.
