Jane Romeo
Hi, I’m Jane. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the dynamics of kids with their parents. From a young age, I would observe family interactions watching acutely at how they communicated and interacted with one another. It’s no wonder my career has now come full circle to becoming a parent educator and now a parent coach.
Parenting has been the greatest joy of my life. Watching my daughter grow into the young woman she has become has rewarded me more than anything else I’ve ever done. I had a bit of an advantage having had Masters level training in child development before having my daughter. Yet still, I had lots of theoretical knowledge, but no actual experience.
Parenting, arguably the most important job we will do, comes with no prior education, or even “on the job training.” Parenting can be like going through “bootcamp:” scary at first, but it takes a great deal of fortitude and inner strength to see it through. We are in the trenches every day with our kids, pivoting between days of calm and explosive activity. When we first become a parent, there is a lot of input and advice we are getting from family members and friends. We are trying to balance our old life with this new one, caring for a child and finding our way as a parent. As parents, we have a lot of questions and feelings, but little in the way of true guidance. I don’t think there’s a parent that exists who doesn’t question themselves at times: “Am I doing this parenting thing right?” As a parent coach, I will provide you with the “safe space” to discuss your concerns and act as your catalyst for lasting change towards your parenting goals.
As a parenting coach, I will:
- Help you bring more tranquility, laughter and love to your home.
- Assist you with finding joy in your everyday parenting.
- Guide you to feel more in control and optimistic about the future.
- Find your playfulness with your kids and to have more fun with your family.
- Help you find more balance through self care; allowing you to be a more present and relaxed parent.
I offer services to fit parents for where they are today. My services include one-to-one coaching, couples coaching and group coaching. I would love to bring my passion for this work and my background and training as a parent educator and now PCI Certified Parent Coach® to you and your family.
