Raising a family is such a challenging and creative process that it still fascinates me after 26 years of service to families and children! I've raised my own two children. Now I mentor and coach single parents and specialize in strengthening couples. When parents communicate with empathy and emotional intelligence, so do their children. In coaching parents at Benton County Health Department and in my private practice, I emphasize communication. I call my business Exceptional Destiny because you will begin to recognize those moments when thoughtful planning and preparation meet with opportunities for growth. In those moments, the language we use and the choices we make can lead us into a future beyond our wildest dreams. Coaching is like drinking a powerful communication potion.

I am a parent coach and parent educator with 23 years experience working with a wonderful variety of parents including those experiencing divorce and remarriage; grandparents raising grandchildren; and foster and adoptive parents of children with attachment disorders, hyperactivity, conduct disorders and learning disabilities. I am a dedicated parent advocate who loves helping parents create more confidence and satisfaction in their parenting. I believe that just as we want our children to thrive, we, too, want to reach our fullest potential as parents. Our goal as human beings is to learn from our experiences and open our hearts to the joy. There is no finer job than parenting.

Nothing is more rewarding than parenting your child in a way that brings joy, health, and peace of mind to you both! I became a parent coach because I am passionate about seeing parents get the help they need to be confident in creating a positive, healthy home environment for themselves and their children. My philosophy in parent coaching is that there is hope for every parent, every child, and every family situation, regardless of the challenges they may face. Every parent deserves a safe place to share their struggles and fears, and receive the support and help that they need to be at peace with themselves and the decisions they face as a parent.
I coach parents of children of all ages with issues such as:
- Desiring better relationships with their children
- Desiring to see their child experience greater success in school
- Struggling with feeling confident about dealing with their child's school
- Desiring to regain parental authority in the home
- Understanding and dealing with challenging behaviors
- Feeling that they are experiencing a lack of support in parenting
- Feeling the need to have more control over media influence in the lives of their children
- Trying to find peace of mind in making the hard decisions of parenting
